Sketchbook Explorations

Would you like to spend some time exploring different art materials and playing in a sketchbook? Do you feel a bit intimidated to even try?

Over the coming weeks I’m going to be starting a new series with my Patreon subscribers where we’ll learn how to fill sketchbook pages, overcome the fear of the blank page, experiment, play and just see what happens when we start making marks on paper.

This is going to be a very gentle, slow exploration. It’s not a challenge, there’s no pressure, no deadlines and you can spend as much or as little time as you want with each prompt.

You don’t even need any special materials. I’m a big fan of making art with what you have - even if it’s a ballpoint pen and some paper from your printer.

I’ll provide a series of prompts and share a video showing how I approached each one to encourage you to have a go.

To join in you’ll need to be signed up to my Patreon. I’ll also be sharing some of the prompts (minus the videos) to email list subscribers so that’s another way to join in.

Hope to see you there!
