At the end of last year (and at least once before) I’ve shared a series of 12 photos – one from each month of the previous year. Here’s my selection from 2018.
Looking back through photos and choosing your favourites from each month is a nice way to remind yourself of what you’ve done, where you’ve been and how things have changed. Sometimes it sparks ideas of things you might want to do more of in the coming year. I purposely chose images that weren’t things that I’d drawn, as a way of stepping back from my sketchbook and looking at the bigger picture.
Could you scroll back through your photos from this year and choose a favourite (or 12)? What are they? Are there any pictures that you’d forgotten about?
I hope you’ve been enjoying the festive season and have time to rest and enjoy yourself.
I wanted to let you know that there’s a sale on in my shop right now. Lots and lots of items have discounts of up to 40% and if you’re in the UK, shipping is free too. I have plans to introduce some new products to my shop over the coming months so if anything sells out now it probably won’t be coming back.
If you have any questions or difficulties placing your order, just let me know and I’ll do what I can to help.
And if you’ve bought from my shop over the past year, thank you very much. I really do appreciate it. Wishing you a peaceful end to 2018.
A bear I painted in my sketchbook a few weeks ago. I’m thinking of making more drawings of animals in knitwear and more animals in general. Are there any animals in particular that you’d like to see me draw/paint?
Earlier this year I worked with ME Action to create a gold shoe pin, which they used as part of a fundraiser. I’ve been working with ME Action again recently and together we created 2 holiday cards based on the same shoe design.
One features this repeating pattern on a red background and inside the message reads ‘Seasons Greetings’. The other is a single pair of shoes on a blue background and contains the message ‘Happy Holidays’.
Both designs are available to purchase through the ME Action shop and all proceeds go towards the work they do campaigning with and on behalf of people with ME.
Right now the ME Action shops ship only to the US, Canada, Mexico and the UK but if you’re in one of those countries there should still be time to receive your cards before Christmas.
This week I wanted to let you know about all the new things that I’ve been busily adding to my shop recently. As well as the postcards that I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, there are 6 new prints, 6 new greeting cards and a paper garland. The cards are available individually or as sets. There are 4 tree card designs and 2 sock cards.
All of these cards are ideal for Christmas and the Winter Holiday Season but they’re all blank inside so can suit any purpose you choose.
The moth, bee and butterfly that feature on the postcard set are now for sale as archival giclee prints. These designs are 3 of the drawings I made during Inktober this year.
3 more of my Inktober drawings are also available as giclee prints. These are black and white ink drawings of woolly gloves, a hat and socks. They’re available individually, or you can buy them as a set of 3, which works out slightly cheaper per print.
The same socks from the set of 2 greeting cards are also available to buy as a paper garland. You will receive 12 different paper socks, each one cut out by hand, and each with 2 pre-made holes at the top. Also included is a length of twine, measuring approximately 1.5m (5 ft).
I hope you find something here that you like the look of. I also have a little added extra that will be coming to the shop next week so keep your eyes peeled for that too.
And, if you didn’t already know, most items in my shop now have free postage within the UK and reduced shipping fees internationally!
