Bear in a Scarf

Bear Wearing Scarf

A bear I painted in my sketchbook a few weeks ago. I’m thinking of making more drawings of animals in knitwear and more animals in general. Are there any animals in particular that you’d like to see me draw/paint?

ME Action Holiday Cards

Cathryn_Worrell_MillionsMissing_Shoes_Pattern

Earlier this year I worked with ME Action to create a gold shoe pin, which they used as part of a fundraiser. I’ve been working with ME Action again recently and together we created 2 holiday cards based on the same shoe design.

One features this repeating pattern on a red background and inside the message reads ‘Seasons Greetings’. The other is a single pair of shoes on a blue background and contains the message ‘Happy Holidays’.

Both designs are available to purchase through the ME Action shop and all proceeds go towards the work they do campaigning with and on behalf of people with ME.

Right now the ME Action shops ship only to the US, Canada, Mexico and the UK but if you’re in one of those countries there should still be time to receive your cards before Christmas.

New Prints and Cards in the Shop!

This week I wanted to let you know about all the new things that I’ve been busily adding to my shop recently. As well as the postcards that I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, there are 6 new prints, 6 new greeting cards and a paper garland. The cards are available individually or as sets. There are 4 tree card designs and 2 sock cards.

All of these cards are ideal for Christmas and the Winter Holiday Season but they’re all blank inside so can suit any purpose you choose.

The moth, bee and butterfly that feature on the postcard set are now for sale as archival giclee prints. These designs are 3 of the drawings I made during Inktober this year.

3 more of my Inktober drawings are also available as giclee prints. These are black and white ink drawings of woolly gloves, a hat and socks. They’re available individually, or you can buy them as a set of 3, which works out slightly cheaper per print.

The same socks from the set of 2 greeting cards are also available to buy as a paper garland. You will receive 12 different paper socks, each one cut out by hand, and each with 2 pre-made holes at the top. Also included is a length of twine, measuring approximately 1.5m (5 ft).

I hope you find something here that you like the look of. I also have a little added extra that will be coming to the shop next week so keep your eyes peeled for that too.

And, if you didn’t already know, most items in my shop now have free postage within the UK and reduced shipping fees internationally!

Inktober 2018

This year I joined in with the Inktober challenge again, which involves making an ink drawing every day (or as often as possible) during October and sharing each one on Instagram. In the past I’ve stuck to black ink and last year I just used a fineliner for the whole month. This time I decided to add some colour so I used liquid inks – mostly India ink and occasionally acrylic ink. I used a pen once or twice for lettering and black areas but otherwise I used inks and brushes. Here are my 31 drawings from the month. You may recognise a few of these as the new postcards which you can now buy in my Etsy shop. A few more are (or are going to be) available as prints too. Click on each image to see a larger version.

New Postcards in the Shop

Today I wanted to let you know that there’s a new postcard set for sale in my Etsy shop. These are the first postcards I’ve made and feature 3 of the illustrations I’ve made so far during Inktober. One each of a Bumble bee, moth and butterfly.

The postcards come as a set of 3 and are printed on very thick white card with a slight sheen on the surface, without being glossy.

Shipping for most items in my shop is now free within the UK and international shipping has been reduced.

I’ll also have some giclee prints of the same designs available soon, and some some new greeting cards too, so keep your eye out for those. In the meantime, order your postcard sets from my shop.
