There’s More Than One Way to Make Art

Right now I’m in the middle of an online photography course, offered by my friend Joy. I’ve taken her Nature Photography course a few times but this is the first time I’ve signed up for her Art of Photography class.

I’m really enjoying being pushed to try new things with my photography, but also to get out with my camera a bit more like I used to and rediscover the types of images I’m naturally drawn to capturing.

So this week I thought I’d just share a small selection of the photos I’ve taken so far for Joy’s class (although at least one of them is a photo I took earlier in the year and edited for one of the assignments). Obviously I’m still drawing every day and I can’t see that changing any time soon but it’s fun to get back to being creative, and making art, in other ways again too.

Are there any creative things you’ve enjoyed in the past but don’t make as much time for any more? What do you think might happen if you picked up your tools more often, or started again where you left off?

Great shots, Cathryn! I’m a tad behind and will be playing carch up in the next few days!

Thanks Dale. I was very behind until the weekend and I’m already slipping again this week. Look forward to seeing your pictures :).
