Multicoloured Alphabet

Hand drawn coloured alphabet letters

I enjoy doing hand lettering and it’s something I think I’m going to do a bit more of. This was a good way to fill a page in my sketchbook on a day when I didn’t really feel like doing an observational drawing. I’m also in the middle of the last Sketchbook Skool homework for this semester so I wanted to do something a bit simpler as a brief interlude.

I just used some magazines and book covers for inspiration and sketched out the letters in pencil on a full A5 page in my sketchbook. Then I used a Copic multiliner to go over the pencil lines, before filling in the letters with watercolour paints.

This lettering is awesome! I wonder if you could sell it as a font?!

Good question Jayleen. If nothing else I’d wondered about selling it as a print, say for a kid’s room…
