This week I’ve been sketching food and casserole dishes for a course that I’m taking with Lilla Rogers. This might seem a bit odd considering that I’m slowing down with my creative work as winter sets in, but the course I’m taking is self-paced so there are no deadlines. I just pick it up and do some work when I can, and I’m making it fit my timetable rather than the other way around.
It’s nice to have something to nudge me towards doing a bit more work but I also appreciate the lack of deadlines, especially considering that December can be quite a hectic month anyway. It’s also taking me a bit further out of my comfort zone, which I think is a good thing for me right now.
The sketches I’ve been doing this week are preparation for a bigger assignment, which I’ll make a start on either tomorrow or early next week. Or maybe later than that. I’m just taking each day as it comes at the moment.
